Screen for Life is the national screening programme by the Health Promotion Board that encourages Singaporeans to go for regular health screening and appropriate follow-up. Eligible Singapore Citizens can access subsidised screening at $5 or lower* at CHAS GP clinics.

Your eligibility depends on:

1. Your age and sex
1. Cardiovascular risk - men and women aged 40 years and above
2. Cervical cancer - women aged 25 years and above
3. Colorectal cancer - men and women aged 50 years and above
4. Breast cancer - women aged 50 years and above; for women between ages 40 and 49 years old, please check in with your doctor
2. Whether you have been diagnosed with any chronic condition(s) or selected cancers
3. The date of your last screening visit (normal results)
1. Cardiovascular risk - at least 3 years
2. Cervical cancer - at least 3 years for Pap test or 5 years for HPV test
3. Colorectal cancer - at least 1 year
4. Breast cancer - at least 2 years

* For Healthier SG (HSG)-enrolled Singapore Citizens, the screening tests under SFL will be fully subsidised at your enrolled HSG clinic. You can also check with your enrolled HSG clinic when your recommended screening tests are due.

1. Cardiovascular disease screening, which includes:
• Blood test for high blood cholesterol and diabetes: your GP may recommend a fasting or Non-fasting test suitable for you
• Blood pressure measurement
• Height, weight, waist circumference measurement for overweight / obesity
2. Colorectal cancer screening
• FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) - a stool test to check for occult blood
3. Cervical cancer screening
• Pap test for females aged between 25 years old and 29 years old
• Human Papillomavirus (HPV) test for females who are 30 years old and above

Please note that some GPs may not offer cervical cancer screening services at their clinic. If you are enrolled with HSG and your clinic does not offer cervical cancer screening services, your GP will provide a referral letter to screen at another CHAS GP clinic.

4. Breast cancer screening
• Mammogram for females

Please note that mammogram services are only available at participating polyclinics. Please contact your nearest polyclinic to make an appointment. Females 40-49 years of age, please discuss the harms and benefits of mammogram screening with your doctor.

For eligible Singapore Citizens (SC), you can go for subsidised screening at a nominal fee of $5 or lower* at CHAS GP clinic. This fixed fee includes screening test(s) done within the same visit, screening visit consultation and the first follow-up consultation.

• $0 for Pioneer Generation (PG)
• $2 for Merdeka Generation (MG) / CHAS Blue Card / CHAS Orange Card
• $5 for CHAS Green Card/ eligible SC

* For Healthier SG (HSG)- enrolled Singapore Citizens, the screening tests under SFL will be fully subsidised at your enrolled HSG clinic. You can check with your enrolled HSG clinic when your recommended screening tests are due.

For Permanent Residents, please check in with your preferred CHAS GP clinic on the screening test rates offered under the Screen for Life programme. The prevailing doctor consultation will be charged accordingly by the respective CHAS GP clinics.
